For the time being we have removed the ability to book online appointments through Online Access. When you phone to book your appointment we will ask if you want a telephone, video or face-to-face appointment. Please wear a mask if you attend the surgery in accordance with NHS guidelines. DO NOT ATTEND if you have a temperature, a cough, cold symptoms or a sore throat.
Reception staff will also ask you the reason for your appointment. All appointments are being triaged by GPs so they can determine how best to assist you.
For all appointments, please press option 1 when telephoning the surgery.
Two thirds of appointments are kept free every day for booking on the day. One third will be available for advanced booking by up to six weeks ahead. The idea is that there will be enough free appointments every day to make pre-booking unnecessary and our experience has been that the system works well enough for patients to have confidence in being able to book a doctor's appointment on the same day they need it.
Routine appointments are usually booked at 10-minute intervals. Please let us know if you need more time, either for complex problems or for other members of your family.
Also, please let us know if you no longer need an appointment; someone else could use it.
We will try and give you an explanation if surgeries are running more than 30 minutes late. Patients with a serious, urgent problem will be seen as a priority and your understanding of this eventuality will be much appreciated.
